At The Colliery Flower Farm, we grow a stunning variety of fresh flowers for all occasions. From Weddings and Birthdays to farewell flowers, we will work with you to create arrangements that reflect the season. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, which is why we've ditched floral foam and always opt for eco-friendly materials instead.
We pick our flowers at exactly the right stage for cutting and put them straight into nothing more than a bucket of fresh water - just like picking from your own garden! Our flowers don't travel dry for thousands of miles wrapped in plastic. Instead, they are hand picked and arranged shortly before you'll receive them, meaning it doesn't get much fresher than this.
We grow flowers that thrive in our climate, using greenhouses or outdoor growth without additional heat or light. We enrich our soil without the use of harsh chemicals, which creates a beautiful habitat for wildlife. By aligning our practices with nature, we offer fresh, beautiful blooms that are also environmentally responsible, allowing customers to make a positive impact with their choice.
We grow small quantities of a large variety of flowers throughout the seasons, and we love that each stem is unique. We want to show character through our style of 'Wild, natural beauty', and we appreciate that not every stem will be "perfect". Instead, every stem has charm. No waste here!
The UK is known for its unpredictable weather, but it's not all bad news. In fact, our climate allows us to cultivate a diverse range of flowers all year round, thanks to seasonal variations.
Have you ever noticed that you could buy the same bunch of flowers in January as you could in August from a supermarket? This is because flowers imported from other countries are grown under artificial conditions, such as heat lamps during Winter.
